Hurricane season is here – make a plan now for your family!

The 2017 Hurricane Season starts June 1, 2017. As Coast Guard personnel, we all have a responsibility to lead by example. Are you prepared? Does your family know what to do? Coast Guard men and women confident their loved ones and their property are safe and secure are better prepared to perform their missions when disaster strikes. Make sure you have a plan in place for when you are not able to be home.

Bravo zulu, VADM Manson K. Brown!

Coast Guard All Hands sends out a bravo zulu to retired Vice Adm. Manson K. Brown on his selection to be President Barack Obama’s nominee for Assistant Secretary for Environmental Observation and Prediction at the Department of Commerce. In a statement issued by the White House, President Obama announced his intent to nominate Brown, the former U.S. Coast Guard Deputy Commandant for Mission Support.
