Testing underway for new financial management services

For several reasons, the Coast Guard has begun to transition from the outdated Core Accounting System, to a new, standardized integrated financial management, procurement, and asset management system and supporting process that will result in improved compliance with federal standards and effective operational support.

Coast Guard to modernize financial management services

The Commandant has made the modernization of our Coast Guard Financial Management System one of his top priorities. The Coast Guard currently relies on unsupportable procurement, accounting, and asset management systems, including the Core Accounting System, as well as outdated and inefficient business processes.
