It is imperative that you provide your feedback to help this effort! The Assignment Priority survey is only 12 questions and can be completed in 5-10 minutes. It is due by Dec. 31, 2016. The Officer Evaluation System (OES) Review was an initiative under the Commandant’s Human Capital Strategy (HCS), and the main goal was to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the evaluation process and system. As a result of this review, all OER forms for junior officers, senior officers and warrant officer have been shortened and many requirements have been eliminated to improve the ease with which supervisors can report on their subordinates. The active duty and the reserve officer corps as well as civilian supervisors of military officers must become informed of these changes and the new guidelines for evaluating officers. The Coast Guard is developing a Cyberspace Workforce Human Capital Plan to prioritize and implement a cyberspace workforce transformation that aligns with Department of Defense standards and both the Coast Guard’s Cyber Strategy and Human Capital Strategy. The newly-created Office of Cyberspace Forces will lead the endeavor and provide programmatic oversight, training, equipping and operational policy for the men and women who will make up this new workforce.
