Paratus Report: April 2018, Episode 2

The newest episode of the Coast Guard Paratus Report is now live! The Paratus Report is a workforce news program focused at keeping Coast Guard members informed of what’s happening throughout their Coast Guard. The program is scheduled to air twice a month on the official Coast Guard YouTube channel, and right here on Coast Guard All Hands.
Coast Guard Cutter Polar Star
The crew of Coast Guard Cutter Polar Star completed another successful Operation Deep Freeze mission supporting the National Science Foundation (NSF). The crew departed late last year and assisted in the annual delivery of supplies and fuel for NSF research stations in Antarctica.
Coast Guard Cutter Sherman
Coast Guard Cutter Sherman was decommissioned March 29 in Honolulu after nearly 50 years of service. Sherman’s operational resume includes action in the Vietnam War, major drug interdictions – including the largest individual cocaine seizure in U.S. history – maritime law enforcement, living marine resources protection, migrant interdictions and numerous rescues.
