Combined Federal Campaign

The holiday season is here whether we want to believe it or not. This time of year is known as being the time of giving. Each year, the Coast Guard and other federal agencies have the opportunity to make an impact in local communities, across the nation or even around the world by making a donation through the Combined Federal Campaign.

The CFC is the only authorized solicitation of federal employees in their workplaces on behalf of charitible organizations. The mission of the CFC is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.

The CFC was created in 1961 to coordinate fundraising efforts of various charitible organizations so the federal donor would only be solicited once in the workplace and have the opportunity to contribute through payroll decductions.

Today, the CFC is known to be the most inclusive workplace giving campaign in the world with the number of participating charities estimated at more than 20,000 nonprofit charitable organizations worldwide.

Last year, federal employees in the National Capital Region alone pledged more than $38 million and more than 50,000 volunteer hours.

Donations through the CFC help save lives, feed the hungry, educate the young, plant trees, support research and more. This is your year to Show Some Love to a cause that is important to you.

To sign up to make a donation, click here. Donations can be made with a credit or debit card, or directly from your payroll. There are several options for the frequency of donations, but donations can be one time only if preferred. Federal employees may also donate volunteer hours.
