Paratus Report: March 2018, Episode 1

The newest episode of the Coast Guard Paratus Report is now live! The Paratus Report is a workforce news program focused at keeping Coast Guard members informed of what’s happening throughout their Coast Guard. The program is scheduled to air twice a month on the official Coast Guard YouTube channel, and right here on Coast Guard All Hands.

New Enlisted Evaluation System

The new Enlisted Evaluation System is now in effect! The Coast Guard reduced the amount of time spent completing the evaluations by reducing the number of competencies and supporting remarks. By making the competencies more objective, removing some of the redundancies, and aligning the competencies with the commandant’s leadership development framework, the new evaluations will provide a better feedback tool for a member’s performance.

Focus group opportunity

Let your voice be heard! The Office of Diversity and Inclusion (CG-12B) has contracted with RAND Corporation’s Homeland Security Operational Analysis Center (HSOAC) to conduct a holistic analysis on women’s retention in our service. Participation is voluntary and highly encouraged.

The Coast Guard will use the study findings to help retain a talented workforce. The focus groups are scheduled to begin this month.
