Company Officer Leadership Studies Program is seeking applications from eligible candidates. Three officers will be selected for this full-time graduate degree program commencing summer 2018. This program offers outstanding leadership opportunities for high performing officers who want to impact the future Coast Guard officer corps.

The Coast Guard Academy is soliciting applications for the Academy Instructor Program. This program offers outstanding professional development and career broadening opportunities for officers interested in serving in the challenging and rewarding role of Academy Instructor. Selectees will have the opportunity to become members of the faculty charged with educating and developing a sizeable portion of our Service’s future officer corps.

061/17 – November 2016 Servicewide Exam revised cutoffs

The information in this message provides the cutoff number and the name of the member at the cutoff position for the respective rate from the November 2016 Servicewide Exam (SWE). Members who appear at or above the cutoff on a SWE eligibility list are assured of advancement if they remain eligible.

The information in this message provides the cutoff number and the name of the member at the cutoff position for the respective rate from the May 2016 Servicewide Exam (SWE). Members who appear at or above the cutoff on a SWE eligibility list are assured of advancement if they remain eligible.

056/17 – Civilian exemption for required use of the Travel Management Center (TMC) for conference lodging

Per recent changes, civilian employees are no longer required to use our TMC (ADTRAV) to make lodging reservations for conferences when the conference sponsor has negotiated and set aside rooms at one or more lodging facilities. This exemption already existed for military personnel.

011/17 – 2017 Reserve High Year Tenure (R-HYT) Professional Growth Point (PGP) waiver panel results 

The 2017 R-HYT Waiver Panel convened on March 21, 2017 at Coast Guard Personnel Service Center to evaluate 17 R-HYT waiver requests. Members who have greater than 18 but less than 20 years total qualifying service (TQS) towards a non-regular retirement were retained in an active status beyond their PGP in order to allow sufficient time to earn a retirement. The Panel granted eight one-year waivers to the personnel listed in this message whose continued service and ability to fill a critical need is considered to be in the best interest of the Coast Guard.

045/17_ACN – Update To Reserve Enlisted High Year Tenure (R-HYT) Policy

This message announces the following updates to Reserve High Year Tenure (R-HYT) Policy. The Professional Growth Point (PGP) for E-3 shall be 10 years Time in Service (TIS) for R-HYT 2018 and beyond. The PGP for E-4 shall be 14 years TIS for R-HYT 2018 and beyond. This policy will be incorporated into the next issuance of REF (A), which will be released within the next year.
