138/17_ALCOAST – National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA) award solicitation
The NDTA sponsors annual awards to Military Transportation and Logistics units which have accomplished outstanding or unusual service in the field of transportation and logistics during 2016. As in the past, this year’s award winners will be selected on a worldwide basis from units whose missions directly involve transportation of supplies, equipment and personnel.
041/17 – Promulgation of Special Compensation Assistance for Activities with Daily Living (SCAADL) Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP)
SCAADL was authorized to pay compensation to catastrophically wounded, ill, or injured service members to help defray costs associated with activities of daily living. This TTP publication was authored and validated by accomplished performers and subject matter experts in the field.
136/17_ALCOAST – FY 2016 DHS Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Awards for Excellence
This message announces the Coast Guard recipients of the 2016 DHS CFO Awards. These awards celebrate the DHS CFO community’s commitment to financial excellence by recognizing the individuals and teams whose efficient and innovative approaches to their work over the past fiscal year (FY) made a difference to the Department and our Nation.
135/17_ALCOAST – 2017 Blacks In Government (BIG) Meritorious Service Award
This ALCOAST solicits submissions for the 2017 BIG Meritorious Service Award. The award honors service members and civilian employees who have supported the Coast Guard mission, overseas contingency operations or whose attributes best epitomized the Coast Guard core values of honor, respect, and devotion to duty. The performance period for award consideration is April 2016 to April 2017.
132/17_ALCOAST – Direct Access mobilization and termination of the Mobilization Readiness Tracking Tool (MRTT)
This ALCOAST announces the termination of the MRTT on June 1, 2017, and establishes Direct Access (DA) as the Coast Guard’s Human Resources Information System of record for requesting, sourcing, and tracking personnel in support of contingency and surge operations. DA functionality will be activated for users on April 30, 2017.
131/17_ALCOAST – Selection of the 2016 Forrest O. Rednour Memorial Awards for Culinary Specialist of the Year (CSOY) and Dining Facility of the Year (DFOY)

048/17 – Coast Guard MWR Unit Award Program of the Year
To recognize Morale, Well-Being, and Recreation (MWR) programs of all sizes and improve unit readiness, retention, and overall resiliency of the Coast Guard family, the Community Services Command (CSC) has developed an annual awards program. Nominations must arrive at the CSC by July, 6 2017.
047/17 – Morale, Well-being, and Recreation (MWR) awards and scholarships
The International Military Community Executives Association (IMCEA) will again be presenting MWR awards and scholarships in 2017. IMCEA awards offer commands a unique opportunity to recognize exceptional members of the command performing MWR duties through the awards program of this international organization.
