ALCOAST 099/17 – CG HAZARDOUS WASTE HANDLING AND GENERATORS COURSE AND QUOTA REQUEST
This is to announce the availability of quotas for the CG Introduction to Hazardous Waste Generators and Handling (IHWGH) course. Eight class convening dates have been established between the end of April and August 2017 at various locations across the country.
ALCOAST 100/17 – USCGC MORGENTHAU (WHEC 722) 48 YEARS OF SERVICE
On Mar. 31, 2017, after 48 years of faithful service to our nation, CGC MORGENTHAU transitioned into commission special status. Throughout her service, CGC MORGENTHAU embodied and defended her motto, the Pride of the Pacific.
ALCOAST 101/17 – MILITARY TRANSGENDER POLICY BRIEFING MATERIALS
This ALCOAST announces the release and availability of briefing materials for unit commanders to introduce the topic of military transgender service policy. All commands and staff elements shall utilize the briefer toolkit (slides and guide) developed by FORCECOM to conduct the all hands briefing as soon as practical. All briefings should occur prior to July 1, 2017.
ALCOAST 102/17 – SOLICITATION FOR THE USCG 2017 NATIONAL SCOUT JAMBOREE (NSJ) TASK FORCE
The Coast Guard has been asked to support the 2017 National Scout Jamboree, which will be held at the Bechtel Summit Reserve, Beckley, West Virginia, from July 17-29 2017. This high visibility event is a prime opportunity for the Coast Guard to assist an organization that teaches positive values to America’s youth, while reaching out to an ideal candidate pool for future CG personnel.
ALCOAST 104/17 – THE FEDERAL ASIAN PACIFIC AMERICAN COUNCIL ANNUAL NATIONAL LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM
The Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC) will hold its 32nd Annual National Leadership Training Program from May 15-18, 2017 at the Hilton Washington DC/Rockville Hotel and Executive Meeting Center in Rockville, Maryland to coincide with the observance of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.
