076/17_ALCOAST – Reduction to Mandated Training (MT) “A” requirements
Senior leadership is consistently looking for opportunities to reduce or eliminate unnecessary administrative burdens on the field. To this end, Deputy Commandant for Mission Support (DCMS) directed Force Readiness Command (FORCECOM), with support from the Legal Service Command, to conduct a complete review of all Coast Guard and Department of Homeland Security mandated training across the entire workforce and establish a rigorous process to determine if the training is necessary for all members.
073/17_ALCOAST – General Services Administration (GSA) City Pair Program (CPP)
Travelers on official business are required to use the GSA CPP contract carrier unless a specific contract exception applies. This message communicates these requirements and establishes the required procedures for using any of the allowed exceptions.
072/17_ALCOAST – 2017 Household Goods (HHG) and mandatory Customer Satisfaction Survey (CSS) information
The 2017 HHG transportation season will soon be upon us, and with it comes the importance of HHG counseling. To ensure a member’s successful movement of HHG, whether cross-country or local, commands are highly encouraged to provide all members departing on PCS orders or separating from the Coast Guard a printed copy of this ALCOAST, and include HHGs counseling on their PCS check-out sheets.
071/17_ALCOAST – Good Order and Discipline data
The Good Order and Discipline data and summary is a compilation of the disciplinary and administrative actions taken when Coast Guard military and civilian employees fail to uphold the high ethical, moral, and professional standards we share in the Coast Guard.
069/17_ALCOAST – Solicitation for 2017 Military Times Servicemembers of the Year
Each year, Military Times honors five “Everyday Heroes” — servicemembers who demonstrate pride, dedication and courage beyond what is
expected. These Soldiers, Marines, Sailors, Airmen and Coast Guardsmen show concern for their fellow service members, their community and the country they serve. Nominations may be submitted by any of the Military Times readers – including parents, fellow service members, supervisors and commanding officers; making this grassroots award unique from any other awards given to members of our Armed Forces.
066/17_ALCOAST – Solicitation for the 2016 Fireman First Class Paul Clark Boat Forces Engineering Award

065/17_ALCOAST – Solicitation for the 2016 CDR Ray Evans Outstanding Coxswain Award

022/17_ACN – Coast Guard Reserve Training Management System (CGR-TMS)
This ALCOAST announces a major update to the Reserve Individual Training Plan (ITP). This ALCOAST also details roles and responsibilities of Reserve Force Readiness System (RFRS) staff elements at all Service echelons. The CGR-TMS will align training expectations with service requirements and allow the Office of Reserve Affairs, Commandant (CG-131), to accurately project Fiscal Year (FY) C-School demands in alignment with REF (A), target priority attendees to efficiently administer Reserve Training (RT) in accordance with REF (B), and communicate progress towards training and readiness expectations to individual reservists. The goal of the CGR-TMS is to increase Coast Guard Reserve Force capabilities in support of the Deputy Commandant of Operations annual Strategic Planning Directive and career progression for reservists.
