Parenting can be stressful whether you are a stay-at-home mother, father, single parent, dual military family or any other of the many types of families in the Coast Guard. Learning to cope with stress, regardless of the cause, can protect you from its negative effects. Before the stress becomes too much or when you’ve hit your limit, CG SUPRT is ready to assist with free counseling, wellness coaching, and resources to help you get a handle on the everyday issues that can cause tension at home or at work. CG SUPRT can offer support around communication, parent/child conflict, bullying, discipline, sibling rivalry, blended families, separation anxiety, temper tantrums, substance abuse and school issues.

Also, if you need support in sorting out your financial concerns as a parent, the 90-Day Money Coaching program is available to help you set goals and manage them around saving for your child’s future, investing, budgeting, taxes, life insurance and student loans. Coast Guard members, civilian employees and their families can contact CG SUPRT confidentially at any time to set up any of these services by calling 855-CG-SUPRT (247-8778).
